Round Up Week

Last week was Lehi's round-up week. Makenna had so much fun doing all the different things all week. We had dinner in the park, dinner with friends, the horse parade, the city parade, the carnival at the park and of course the rodeo! She had so much fun at the rodeo and she loved to see the horses, and most of all the motorcycles. She thought those were the coolest. She was so cute in her little cowgirl boots and she asks to where them everyday now. It is adorable! So here are some pics from the last week.

These were her cute boots!

All of us at the Rodeo. She loved the nachos!

Makenna's Two Year Old Pictures

So I know these are a little old getting up but I have an excuse. It has been all this rain! I am so sick of it. Makenna pulls out her swimsuit everyday and wants to go swimming and I have to tell her maybe tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Poor girl. Well I had my sister take some pictures about a month ago and they turned out really cute but we only had one outfit and I had another cute outfit I wanted her in. So we tried again last week on one of the dry nights and all I have to say is I don't think I will ever take a two year olds picture again! It must be a hard age to sit and look at the camera. And plus Makenna was finally getting to go outside and play without all the rain. So needless to say we didn't get any pictures in her other outfit. Oh well. Here are my favorites. I think they turned out so cute!

San Francisco

So this last weekend I went on a little trip with my Aunt Janeen, my mom and my two sisters, Amy and Shellie. We went to San Francisco to see Wicked. We had tried to get tickets here in Utah and didn't have much luck. So we had the choice of paying extremely high prices to get them from a private seller or we could fly to San Francisco and see it. It would have been the same price either way so we decided to make a fun weekend of it. My Aunts PR company has an apartment in downtown SF so we were lucky enough to stay there for free.

I absolutely loved the show! It was so cute and funny. I wish I could watch it again! It was a great weekend full of shopping, (H&M is my new favorite store), sitting in the hot tub, and walking to all the sights. We went to a Farmers Market, Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. I had to get some yummy chocolate! But I couldn't have done it without my amazing husband. He and Makenna had such a fun weekend together and Weston even braved all 8 sunbeams by himself on Sunday and he even did Makenna's hair so cute for church. I just have the best husband ever!

Help!

Okay so I just really enjoy summer time. The warm weather, the sun being outside, family time and basically everything about the summer time. But one thing I don't enjoy is the sun coming up earlier. Makenna is the best little sleeper and sleeps in almost every morning. So that means I get to sleep in or I can at least lay in bed and watch the morning news. But since the sun comes up earlier that means it wakes me up earlier. So every night I spend 10 minutes trying to block out the sun from sneaking into our bedroom windows. We have this really cute window seat that I love but I have got to do something with the windows!

So this is the cute window seat every morning.

And this is what it looks like at night all covered up.

So I went to Smiths market place today and found a curtain rod to go across in front of the window seat. But now I need some cute plain curtains that I can slide open and closed. The thing is they are so expensive and I'm afraid that if I have to buy material it might get really expensive to cover the whole window. So does anyone know where I can buy cheap curtains or cheap material so I can make some?

Anniversary

On Tuesday, June 2nd, Weston and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. We just went to dinner at Winger's and hopefully on Friday we are going to go out for our date night to celebrate so I am excited for that. I can't believe that we have been married for 4 years. It seems like it's been a lot longer than that. But it has been good and we have experienced a lot of good things so hopefully we will have a lot more to look forward to. I went back and found some pictures of the wedding. It was so much fun to look back on that great day. I love you Wes! Happy Anniversary!

Cabin Time!

So this last weekend we made a trip up above Heber to the family cabin. Weston's grandparents have had it since he was a little kid and it is always fun to go up there. Makenna was so much fun this time because she was old enough to just run around and play. We didn't have to worry about her falling down the stairs or getting into the fire. (Well maybe we did still worry about the fire) But it was a lot of fun. I did get a little too stressed out by Sunday. But it is just hard being in close corners with everyone and getting little to no sleep and then having to worry about if Makenna has something to eat that doesn't contain eggs. But we survived and had an enjoyable weekend. Weston even took us down to Park City and we got a Carmel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. That was probably my favorite part. That and the four wheeler rides. Here are some pics. Sorry there's a lot!

Swinging whenever she could get a turn

Makenna loved playing in the dirt so much. Here she is putting dirt on the four wheeler!

After every 4 wheeler ride she would make us get off so she could sit there and play

She loved going for rides and looking for deer.

Makenna's two year check up

So a couple days after Makenna turned two we went in for her check up. I thought she was done with her shots but apparently she wasn't. But she did only have to get one so that wasn't bad at all. Well it was bad getting the shot but she wasn't even bothered by it afterwards like she usually is. Well here are her stats:

Height 35 inches 81%
Weight 24 lbs 18%

So she's pretty much tall and skinny right now. Lucky girl!
