20 Months

Makenna is now 20 months old. I just can't believe how the time flies. She is getting way too big. She looks so tall too. All her pants have turned into floods so I bought her a new pair and she can't keep them up! Well I wanted to get pictures taken of her at 18 months but I never got around to doing it. So I had our sister in law Cali take some of her last week. I have to say that Makenna was not cooperating for us but we did get some cute head shots. If anybody has any suggestions on how to do her hair I would really appreciate it. I really don't like the pig tails but her hair isn't long or thick enough to do much else with. But it does seem too long to do the crazy thing. Oh well. Hopefully she will have cute hair for her 2nd birthday!

Engagement Anniversary

So Weston thinks I am a dork because every year I have to celebrate our engagement. But it was one of our greatest dates and I always love to have a something to celebrate. So tonight we are going to celebrate with a delicious dinner of lettuce wraps and teriyaki noodles. Those are my favorite! Well on this day, 4 years ago Weston took me to Outback for dinner. They have the best cheese fries. When we were finished he said he had to go to the bathroom and left me at the table. Well he never came back. Our waiter told me that he had left to go get the car and I was supposed to meet him out front. I didn't believe him and wasn't going to leave without Weston. So I made the waiter go into the bathroom looking for Weston but he wasn't there. He had left me. So I went outside and there was a guy standing there with a rose and a sign with my name on it. Just like someone being picked up at the airport. So I got into the car with him and after a lot of freaking out thinking I was being kidnapped, he dropped me off at a bus stop across the street from the Mt. Timpanogas temple. There, Weston had a dozen roses and music playing. He then asked me to dance and after a minute he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was so cute! Now if you ask him about it, he will tell you it was the worst night ever because so much of the night went wrong and not according to what he planned. But it was the greatest night and he was so cute for planning everything and getting me the most gorgeous ring. He really is the greatest guy ever! I love you Wes!

This year from Weston's work they decided to close the office between Christmas and New Years with pay. That means that Weston was home with us with no work, no school and no homework for 12 days. In our 3 1/2 years we have never seen so much of either. That's including the time we took off from work for our wedding and honeymoon. Right now we usually see each other for about an hour each day if we're lucky. So needless to say I was a little worried that we might end up killing each other or wanting a divorce but all I can say is that I LOVE MY HUSBAND! We have never had the chance to hang out and just be together for such a long period of time. But Weston is the greatest husband ever! He helped me take care of Makenna (including dirty diapers and a runny nose), hanging things on our new walls, fixing the heat thermostat, and he even made dinner for us one night. We also did a lot of fun things with Makenna. We pulled a sled with the four-wheeler, went shopping together, went out to dinner at the Pizza Factory (yum!), went bowling and I even got Weston to take me to a movie! This has been the best Christmas break ever! I am really not looking forward to Monday when school and work start back up again. But I am definitely looking forward to April 24th. Graduation can't come soon enough. I can't wait to see my husband again!
