He's Here!

So on Monday December 28th our little guy was born. I ended up being induced that morning and he was here that afternoon. His name is Kason and he is just adorable! Everything went so smooth and quickly that I couldn't even believe it when he was here. Nothing like when we had Makenna. But he is here and everyone is doing well. Makenna just loves her little brother and she is so helpful too. Well here are a few pics of the new little guy.

Makenna finally decided to hold him last night and he even got a kiss!

Weston's Birthday

So last weekend we celebrated Weston's birthday. It was a full weekend of celebrating and so much fun. On Friday Kristy and I thought it would be fun to throw Wes and Rus a surprise birthday party. So we invited each of our families and the Southwick's and their friends and had them all hide at my parents house. We had told the two guys that we were just wanting to go out to dinner together. So we headed up to my parents to drop off Makenna to be babysat and when we went downstairs they got a nice surprise. It was a lot of fun to see all the families and all their friends that could make it. Thanks to everyone that came! I am kinda bummed though because I couldn't find the camera and I didn't want Weston to suspect anything if I asked him where it was. But my sister and mom got some pics so I'll have to get copies from them. But then Saturday Weston and I went to dinner and a movie to celebrate and then Sunday my family had dinner and celebrated. So it was a really nice weekend and I hope they enjoyed it. Here are a couple pictures that I was able to get of Weston opening presents.

Happy Birthday Weston! You are the greatest husband in the world! I couldn't ask for a better person to spend my life with. You are such a hard worker and I'm so grateful that you are here to take care of Makenna and I. (and this little guy if he would just hurry up and get here) :) Thanks for everything and I hope you had a great birthday. Love you!

What We've Been Up To

So things have been pretty crazy around here lately. Our computer was broken so I have so much catching up to do. Weston has been very busy. He doesn't seem to be able to sit still for very long so he has been working on a lot of projects and I get to benefit from them! I really do love having him not in school! Here are a few of the things that my handy man has been up to

He put up bead board in the babies room and added a shelf. Now I just need to decorate.

Weston refinished a book shelf for Makenna's room

We put up a fence in the backyard. I absolutely love it! It makes our yard look 100 times nicer than before.

He made me a shelf for all my ribbon. This isn't even all of my ribbon but Weston keeps telling me to paint it first. I just need to decide on a color.

Along with all of these projects he put up our Christmas lights (which look amazing!) and he is working on a special Christmas gift for Makenna. I can't wait to see it when its done! As for me I am still pregnant and definitely in the uncomfortable stage. But I only have a month left! Oh and I started selling Pampered Chef so if anybody wants to place an order or host a party let me know! Hosting is a good way to get free stuff!

Baby Names

So we are having a hard time coming up with baby names. We have a list (or should I say "I") but we can't really pick or decide on anything. Weston doesn't like anything I do. So I was wondering does anybody have a good name for a boy? Have you heard anything cute that your not going to use and wouldn't mind telling? I'm not big on common names like Joe and Bob. But if anybody has a suggestion I would love to hear it. Thanks!

Halloween Fun

Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2009

This year Halloween was so much fun. Makenna knew everything that was going on and had so much fun. So we started by making and decorating cookies Friday night. This is the first year Weston hasn't had school so we had lots of family time and it was so much fun. Makenna had so much fun cutting the cookies. Her favorite was the black cat but every time she used the cookie cutter she would push her fingers in the dough rather than the cookie cutter. It was so funny. And then we frosted the cookies. Makenna had lots of fun doing that.

She had so much fun

She even helped me roll out the dough

Then on Saturday it was Halloween. Weston went and participated in his first golf tournament out at Talons Cove and really enjoyed that. Then that night we went trick or treating. It was so much fun! It was our first time being in a big subdivision and it was so much fun! Makenna was so cute walking up to all the doors. I had been practicing with her to say "trick or treat" but she was too shy at most the doors to say anything. After we hit some houses we went to all the grandparents and got more candy. It was a really fun weekend and Makenna looked so adorable in her Tinkerbell costume. She just loved it and wanted to wear it all day. Here are some pictures.

The cutest Tinkerbell ever!

She liked her wand that lit up

Here she is so hyper off all the sugar. We couldn't get her to stop running around. She would have gone all night if we would have let her. She was so hyper but cute!

So all in all this was the most fun Halloween we have had yet. I can't wait tell next year to dress up two cute little kids!

Countdown continues

It's official, I am in my third trimester! I only have 78 days to go and hopefully even less than that! I went to the doctor for my check up today and everything was fine. Except for all the pregnancy pains this little guy is giving me. I thought I wasn't supposed to be all uncomfortable yet? Well at least for another month or so. But things are going good and Makenna is so cute. She totally understands that I have a baby in my belly. Just yesterday she came up and said momma's baby and then kissed my belly. It was so cute!!! I just hope she still likes him when he comes home from the hospital and takes away some of her attention. I'm sure she will do fine though. With it being the holiday season, hopefully Weston will be home to help out a lot and there will be family around to help. That is if no one is sick. What an awful time of year to have a baby. Oh well, they just come when they are supposed to, right?

Dance Lessons

Today was Makenna's first day of dance class and she was so excited. We got her all dressed up in her dance outfit and did her hair and she just couldn't wait to go. Her grandma (Weston's mom) and her Aunt Cali are her teachers and it was all Makenna could talk about all morning long. I can't believe we actually survived tell class time. It was killing Makenna to just go. But she was just the cutest thing in the world. She kept telling me, I want dance, I want dance. Over and over again. So finally time came to go and she was so cute walking into class. After an hour I went to go back and pick her up and she was so cute dancing with the rest of the kids. They were dancing with their hands on their hips and jumping. It was so cute! When class was over I told her to go get her shoes and she was upset because she didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay and dance all day. But I told her we could go back next week and she was really excited for that. I am so glad we get to have her in some kind of activity. She absolutely loved it!
I love that face!

A very happy birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and I think it was the best birthday yet. Weston and Makenna spoiled me and it was just a great day. Makenna slept in tell after 8 so that was very nice. And when I went downstairs to get her some milk this is what I saw.

Weston had decorated the family room the night before. Makenna was in heaven all day running through the streamers and all the balloons. Well, after we got ready for the day we went to church where Weston was great enough to teach our sunbeams for us and Makenna stayed the whole time in nursery. It was great. She didn't even hardly cry. Then after church and an afternoon nap, we went to my parents house for dinner. We had amazing ribs and bruschetta for dinner. It was the best. And for dessert we had this

Weston made me the cutest cake! I absolutely loved it. It was chocolate and delicious! I think I just have the greatest husband in the world. So I have to say even though I am getting way too old, this was a great birthday and I have the greatest husband and daughter in the world!

Utah State Fair

Well it wouldn't be fall time if we didn't go to the state fair so we went last night for our yearly tradition. It was lots of fun. Weston got off work early so we could beat the traffic and not be too late. Makenna fell asleep in the car on the way so it took her a little bit to wake up and be excited about everything. But she really had a lot of fun seeing all the animals and going down the big yellow slide with her dad. She even was able to twist Weston's arm to get a pony ride. That was probably the highlight of the trip. By the end of the night we couldn't get her to leave. She didn't want to come home because she was having way too much fun.

Looking at the goats

Planting her pepper at the little hands on farm

We couldn't pass up the tradition of the big yellow slide

Our Little Cheerleader

So this last weekend we watched the BYU game with my family and it was lots of fun. It was a really good game and luckily BYU ended up winning in the end. It was a close game. But here is Makenna all dressed up for the game. By the end of the game she kept asking to go to it. She was really enjoying it. So now we just have to talk Weston into getting us tickets for an upcoming home game!

Camping

Every since Weston and I have been married we have been wanting to go camping. We had all the gear. A tent, double sleeping bag, dutch oven, lanterns, marshmallow roasting sticks... You name it we had it. We had everything but the time. Until this summer. So we reserved a spot up in the mountains and invited my family to come with us. We went up Friday night and came home Saturday. It wasn't nearly a long enough trip. We had so much fun. I haven't seen Makenna in such a better mood. She was so excited and loved everything. That night when we were going to bed we couldn't get her to calm down. She thought the tent was the greatest thing in the world. She was doing laps around the tent. It was so stinking cute. And she loved to be there with her cousins. They are the best cousins ever and just love to play with her. So she loved every minute of it. So I'm warning you all now that this is a picture overload. We just couldn't get enough of this camping trip.

Next summer we are going to have to go camping earlier in the year and go a bunch of times. We had so much fun and can't wait to go again!
