So I finally got Brynn's 9 month pictures taken.  First off I couldn't find an outfit I liked and then once I did the kids were all sick so it took me forever to get them taken!  But we were finally able to do them last week and they are absolutely adorable!  Here take a look!

Don’t let the 2 year old babysit

The other day I was trying to finish up some work on the computer and Brynn had woken up early from her nap.  So I asked Kason if he would go up and play with her in her room.  He said yeas so after a few minutes I went up to go get them.  I walked into the girls room and Kason wasn’t there playing with Brynn.  So I checked his room, my room and both bathrooms.  He wasn’t anywhere!  So I went back into the girls room and this is where I found him

 

He had climbed into Makenna’s bed and tucked him and his monkey in for a nap.  He was just so cute but no help to me or Brynn!

9 month stats

I took Brynn to the doctor yesterday for her 9 month check up and I was happily surprised that she didn't have to have any shots! So it was a very nice check up. She is doing great and she isn't behind developmentally at all although she's not crawling or anything yet. Oh well, that's for the better that she will just stay in one spot.  But here are her stats

Height:  26.75 in  17.08%
Weight: 16.58 lb   22.5%
Head:     16.5 in    7.43%

She just seems to stay on the smaller side especially when compared to her brother and sister.  Although she has got some pretty chubby cheeks that are so cute!  I will post some pictures as soon as I can get them taken.  Would you believe that all I need to do is buy an outfit but I just can't find anything I like!  I think I should just buy something so I can get the pictures taken.  Oh well, hopefully in the next week.

8 Months Old

This adorable little thing is now 8 months old!  Where does the time go?  She is getting so big so fast!

Brynn is so much fun and we all love her so much!  I think she probably gets smothered by all of us but she puts up with it and is so happy.  She is always smiling and she loves to growl.  She is so loud too when she does it!  And she has realized that when she does things she will get reactions out of us.  So it's fun to see her react and interact with me and the kids.  Her favorite place to be is in the toy room watching Makenna and Kason play.  She doesn't really play, she just likes to watch her big sister and brother. 

She now weighs 16 lbs 6 oz and I think she was 26 inches long.  I wasn't paying much attention when they told me that part!  And she is now in the 28th percentile which is the highest she's ever been so that's good.  She has 2 bottom teeth and she is drooling like crazy so I'm sure there might be more coming. 

She loves to sit.  She will just sit and play so good.  And she can reach so far for a toy that I think she is going to tip over but she doesn't.  If she does ever end up on her tummy (which she doesn't like) she will scoot and push herself backwards.  I don't think we'll have a crawler anytime soon and that is just fine by me.  I just love watching her sit and play.  She also does this thing with her hands and fingers where she wiggles them back and forth and up and down and all around when she gets excited.  It's really funny to watch her do it.  I think of it as her nervous twitch but its pretty cute.  I really need to get the video camera out soon so I can get videos of her growling and her hands.  Poor third child just doesn't get the camera time that the others did.  I really need to better at that,  but we sure do love her to pieces!  We really couldn't ask for a better baby.  She is simply perfect. 

The Forgotten Blog

Wow! It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I think the last 5-6 weeks have been too crazy for me to handle. But I was thinking today of somethings that I wanted to right down before I forget them.

First, Brynn got her first tooth this last weekend being 7 1/2 months old. It was just one of the bottom front ones. We were spending the weekend in Park City for my dads 60 birthday. Brynn has been such a great sleeper since she was 2 months old and the first night we were there she kept waking up crying which is so unlike her. And the next morning I realized that she had gotten her first tooth! Poor girl just didn't feel good. Then today (4 days later) she got her second tooth on the bottom. I got smart with this one and gave her some Tylenol. It's been a rough few days around her with lack of sleep between Brynn, Wes and I but hopefully she gets feeling better soon.

Now today Makenna had her first field trip at kindergarten! They went to Cornbelly's up at Thanksgiving Point and what do you think was her favorite part? Riding the bus! She has been wanting to ride a big yellow bus for as long as I can remember and the poor little girl has to walk or get a ride to and from school each day. But today she was able to go on her very first bus ride and she was ecstatic! I don't think she even slept last night because she was so excited! And apparently the ride lived up to her expectations because she said it was the best part of her field trip. I'm glad she could go and have so much fun.

And Kason. Not much is going on with him right now. He misses Makenna when she is gone to dance and school so I want to get him started in something at the Legacy Center in January. But he is just my favorite little guy in the whole wide world. He is so much fun right now even though he asks millions of questions, repeats everything Makenna says, never stops talking, and has even started throwing 2 year old tantrums. He is just so adorable and I just can't stand it! He totally makes me smile every day and I just love his big hugs.

Wow, they just grow up way to fast! I think if I could I would freeze time right now. All three kids are at such fun ages and I love it so much. I want them to stay little forever.

Dinosaur Museum

I love how Thanksgiving Point does $2 Tuesdays every August so two weeks ago I took the kids to the Dinosaur Museum.  Kason has been asking to go forever so I thought he would enjoy it.  And although it was crazy busy and packed with tons of kids you just can't beat the price.  It is so expensive to pay full price so to go for $2 was definitely worth it.  Here are some pics of the kids having so much fun!

1/2 Birthday Party

I know its kind of dorky but I love to celebrate the kids 1/2 birthday.  I don't do it every year I just do it when they are 6 months old.  And besides who doesn't like an excuse to bake a cake?  Brynn's 1/2 birthday fell right when Wes was out of town on work so we waited tell this week to celebrate.  I didn't think baking a cake with just me around to eat it was a very good idea!  So we had presents, just an outfit and a new toy.  Makenna was really sweet and colored her a picture.  But Brynn really loved it and tried to eat the gift bags and she even tried to dig into her cake!  I guess it's kind of mean of me to make a cake for her and not let her eat it!  That's okay she'll have her big day in 6 more months.  I just hope she's as anxious to dig into it then!

Brynn's 6 Month Pictures

I took Brynn to get her pictures taken this week and wouldn't you believe that she got a cold and was up all night the night before the pictures.  So needless to say we didn't have a very happy baby pictures.  Which is just crazy because she is always happy!  But we still ended up getting some cute ones so I was happy for that.  So here they are!

Brynn at 6 Months

Wow, how the time flies!  Brynn is already 6 months old!  She is simply the sweetest most cuddly little thing and we all love her so much.  She has the biggest gummy grin and it just melts my heart every time I see it.  She is such a joy to have in our family.  So this is what she is doing at 6 months.

• She loves to growl.  I call her my little monster!
• She can sit really good now.  It all happened with in the last week but she loves to sit and play with her toys.
• She loves to watch her older brother and sister.
• She doesn't roll but she will kick her legs and wiggle her bum to get around on the floor. 
• She loves rice cereal and carrots
• She hates to ride in the car

When people see her they say she is so chubby but in reality she is the smallest baby we have had.  She's got the cutest chubby checks but the rest of her is quite small.  In fact her bum is tiny.  She could still wear 0-3 month bottoms!

Summer Days

I am torn.  I am loving our lazy summer days but I am getting excited for the fall and for it to cool down.  So minus the time that we have been sick, I have been trying to pack our weeks with fun summer activities.  Here are a few things we have been doing lately.

 Poor little girl just had to sit there while I tried to clean up the flower beds before our curbing was put in.  She was a good sport though!

Next up we have a camping trip, swim lessons, Aladdin at Tuachan and Wicked!  I am really looking forward to the rest of July, August and September!  I can't wait!

Brynn - 5 Months

5 months already!  I can't believe it!  She's getting so big so fast!  She has started eating solid foods and she wasn't in love with it at first but she's doing good now.  She is also starting to sit pretty good with help.  It won't be long before she can do it by herself.  Brynn is seriously the happiest baby ever!  She is always so happy and smiley, I just love it.  Although one thing about her is she won't laugh.  You tickle her or play games with her and she just sits there and smiles.  She holds in her breath and then lets out a gasp.  It is so funny.  I think she likes things and thinks things are funny but she just won't let out those laughs.  It's just driving me crazy!  And although she doesn't laugh she is very vocal and has become a growler.  She went through a phase for a week or so that she would just sit there and growl and growl.  It was pretty funny.  She has also rolled over 3 or 4 times & then stopped.  I can't get her to do it again but that's not surprising to me.  None of the kids have ever been rollers.  But we sure do love our little sweetheart!  Both Makenna and Kason love her so much and she loves to sit and watch them play.  Here are some pictures of her at 5 months.  (I am not good at taking pictures so it takes a few shots to get pictures of her!)

 

Brynn's 3 Month Pics

4 months old

Brynn had her 4 month check up yesterday and she did great.  She hardly cried at all with the shots and she had a much better day than the last time she had shots.  So all over it was a better trip to the doctor.  He said she is looking great and we can start with cereal and then veggies.  When I had been given the go ahead to start foods with my other kids I started that night.  I'm always so excited to start them on foods.  But can you believe I went to Target last night and didn't get any cereal?  I'm going to have to make a trip to the store today now to get some! 
Brynn is really growing up now.  She smiles and coos.  She loves to talk to people and toys.  Well actually she like to blow bubbles and spit at them too.  She's pretty funny that way.  She will try and put anything and everything in her mouth and most of the time its her fingers and thumb or her shirt.  She is so funny.  She holds her head up so well now and she can sit really good if she's being helped out.  She is always so happy and smiley.  Wes can get her to laugh really good and it's the cutest little laugh.  And I have really been pushing a lot of tummy time lately and now she is actually enjoying it.  That's a first with any of our kids.  Makenna and Kason just screamed so I didn't make them do much but with Brynn I have kept pushing it and now she is doing great.  Third times the charm right?

Anyways here are her stats from the dr. yesterday

She had a big jump in length so she's getting pretty tall and skinny.  Although she is getting chubby cheeks and she's always had a double chin.  But she's just so adorable! And we love her so much!  I just wish she would stop growing!  I want her to stay small and cuddly forever.

I like to take the kids picture each month to see how they have changed through out a year. I don't take pictures very well but here is Brynn at 4 months.

Brynn's 2 Month Check Up

Last week we went to Brynn's 2 year check up but technically she was 2 months and 9 days.  So her stats are going to be different than the other 2 kids but oh well, what do you do?  Here are her stats

Length - 22 inches 19.28%
Weight - 10.71 lbs 26.97%
Head - 14.25 inches 3.02%

She is pretty much the smallest baby we have ever had!  Really cute and petite.  We'll have to see how long she stays that way.  She is getting some really chubby cheeks and a double chin!  Well I think she's always had that double chin.  But she is adorable and such a good baby.  She hardly ever cries and she is sleeping 6-8 hours a night.  We finally got her switched over to her crib so now she and Makenna share a room.  So far it's working out good so hopefully it stays that way. 

When she got her shots they really affected her.  She cried for almost 3 hours straight and she had a hard time eating or sleeping or being held.  Pretty much nothing would comfort her.  She also ran a slight temperature of 100 degrees but thankfully she was doing better by the next day.  The doctor said everything looked great.  He was concerned about her head being so small but he checked it and said they will just check it again at her next check up and hopefully things are okay.  Other than that she's perfect! 

She is smiling and cooing and it is just so cute!  She will just look at you when you talk to her and try and move her mouth with yours.  It's so cute.  I've tried to get a picture of her smile but I can never get a good one.  So the top picture was an attempt to get a smile.  She loves to lick her hands.  We're lucky she's not sucking on them!  And this bottom pic is of the cutest kids ever!  I'm not biased at all am I!

Brynn's Blessing

Last week we had Brynn's blessing and all I can say is her dress was simply adorable!  It was so cute and she looked so cute in it!  Weston gave a very nice blessing and Brynn was such a good baby during it.  She was even awake the whole time and didn't make a peep!  She's the best baby.  But she did start to arch her back in the middle of it so Weston was worried about that but it all ended up going great!  We then had everyone over for a little lunch and it was fun to be with everyone and celebrate Brynn.  Thanks so much to everyone who came and support us and Brynn.  Brynn is so lucky to have so many people who care about her and we love you all!  Thanks!

 Weston finally got around to hanging our pictures at 10:00 the night before.  He did an amazing job and now we don't have a big ugly white wall!

Random Update

Weston told me the other day that I haven't updated the blog recently so I thought I should post something.  So this might be a little random but here is an update of all of us.

Weston and Katrina

Weston is back from Washington and we are so glad that he is.  There is talk of him heading to Vegas in May but with this company I've learned that you never know for sure until about a week before he is supposed to leave.He is the best dad and gets up every night and changes Brynn's diaper and then I'll feed her.  He even let me go to bed last night at 9:45 and he stayed up with Brynn and then put her to bed.  He is just amazing!  I have been just trying to get back into the swing of things.  I've actually even made dinner a few times!  I've tried to start jogging again but that's kind of hard with three kids so I've only been twice.  Hopefully next week I'll start taking some classes at the good ol' Legacy Center.  So if anyone wants to come with me please let me know.  It is so much easier and a lot more fun going with someone.

Makenna

I found a cute new braid to do and I tried it today.  It is called an uneven braid.  It's kind of hard to see in the pictures but I thought they turned out really cute.  Her hair is more than half way down her back.  I'm going crazy with it because I don't like long hair and I don't know what to do with it.  I think once it's summer time I'm chopping it off.  That's if I last that long!

Makenna is loving preschool and is so excited for kindergarten.  It is all she can talk about.  Well that and every holiday she can think of.  Easter. St Patricks Day, her birthday, foam days, the 4th of July and Fathers Day.  Never mind Mothers day, it's just Fathers Day she cares about!  I know, I know Weston is the greatest. :) No really he is, he is everybody's favorite around here.  Now, back to Makenna.  She loves, loves, loves dance and is taking at two different studios this year.  She is so excited for dance recital.  She also loves to play with friends and she loves dessert.  She is such a girly girl and loves pink and purple, and having her nails painted.  She has even started coming shopping with me.  Well, that is if I buy her a new shirt or something, then she enjoys coming with me.  She has also started with emotional drama and moodiness.  She's always been more pleasant with Weston than with me but now it is the full force girl moodiness.  It's actually really funny sometimes.  So even with all the emotional drama she has been such a good helper with Brynn.  She loves helping me and holding her.  She is so good to play with her and give her, her binky again so I can get ready in the mornings.  She is great and I'm so glad she is willing to help me out.

Kason

Isn't that the cutest boy you've ever seen?  He wanted a picture of his new flip flops.  He's still not sure if he likes them but he does like stinkin' cute in them.  Well the big news with him is he's potty trained!  Finally!!!  I started a few months ago but it was so hard when I was pregnant.  So we started again maybe two weeks ago and it sure was hard with Brynn but he is doing awesome!  He still doesn't like to tell mom he has to go so I have to just take him a lot.  But if your grandma or dad he will tell you and it is a whole lot easier.  I don't know what it is about my kids but the like to rebel against their mom!  I was so tired of changing 20 messy diapers a day between two kids so one day I told Kason I wasn't buying any more diapers.  So instead I went to Target and bought a bunch of dollar "prizes" and a couple bags of candy.  When he goes number 1 he gets a treat and when he goes number 2 he gets a toy or prize.  The reward system has really helped with him.  He's done great and even wakes up from naps dry.  Such a good boy.  And now that he's potty trained he gets to eat fruit.  And boy does he love fruit!  He gets so excited for apples, strawberries, pineapple and mandarin oranges.

 
Brynn

This little sweetheart is now 6 weeks old and is the best baby I have ever met!  She only cry's when she is hungry or needs a diaper change and she is so happy!  She has started smiling and she even rolled over twice from her stomach to her back!  She loves tummy time, her brother and her sister, napping in her swing and playing under her gymini play mat.  She has been sleeping about 6 hours at night for about 2 weeks now and it is wonderful.  Her active time of day is between 9-11 at night.  She is such a night owl but she is still simply the best baby ever!  She looks like both the kids.  She looks like Makenna with a bow on and looks like Kason when she doesn't have a bow on.  It's pretty funny.  But we sure do love her and are so glad she is apart of our family!

4 Weeks Old

Brynn is now 4 weeks old!  I can't believe it!  I feel like she just got here but at the same time I feel like she has always been with us.  It's crazy to think about it.  But I really think that she has been our best behaved child so far.  She doesn't scream or cry very much and she seems to have an easy going personality.  She goes with the flow of things and she doesn't get bothered by her older siblings.  Especially when they wake her up!  Nights are her most active period.  She will lay awake and play or she will just cuddle in our arms and stare into space.  It's hard having her up late at night but at least she's being well behaved.  That definitely makes it easier to stay up with her.  She eats really well but she does not like it when I eat spicy food, chocolate, or garlic.  She's got a little double chin and I can see her cheeks getting a little chubby.  She's just so cute!  Also she is getting really strong and likes to hold her head up off our shoulders.  She doesn't object to tummy time very much but she loves laying under her gymini and watching her toys.  I just can't believe that she is such an amazing baby.  I better knock on wood and hope she stays that way!
